Christianne Adams

After doing volunteer work at a women's shelter, I found my passion. Just by applying a little make-up and sculpting brows I could see the difference it made in these women.

I attended Von Lee International School of Aesthetics and became a licensed esthetician in 2002. I’ve continued my education by studying Dermatology with the Raynor Institute in Washington D.C. which included the latest anti-aging treatments. I received certification with the Marlene Kurland Makeup Academy in Bridal and Photography makeup. I studied at the MAC Institute in New York learning facial contouring and makeup for women over forty.

I received certification in permanent cosmetics from the Beau Institute in New Jersey in 2002. I studied with both Extreme and Nova Lash and was certified in eyelash extensions and was one of the first on the East coast, working on clients from Virginia, D.C., Pennsylvania and Delaware. Nova Lash is the only eyelash company that uses a U.S. certified pharmaceutical glue so that is what we use.

In December 2007 I became NCEA Certified after meeting all of the requirements and passing the examination. The National Coalition of Estheticians Association (NCEA).  addresses current issues and develops professional and educational guidelines, representing our interest at the state regulatory level. Our goal is to have the option of furthering education thus allowing Estheticians to have more responsibilities while also working within their particular states scope of practice.

I'm a member of the Society of Dermatology Skincare Specialists. We have annual meetings and receive newsletters and journals keeping us abreast of issues and the latest treatments and products in this ever changing field.

I'm also a member of the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine. This organization holds annual conventions bringing together physicians, scientists and other professionals who have an interest in the latest anti-aging breakthroughs. They offer workshops and presentations on Cosmetic Aesthetic Surgery, Aesthetic Laser Procedures, and Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy, just to name a few. I also receive newsletters keeping me informed on the latest advances in this field.

I'm passionate about my work and feel that its my job to educate my clients. My education is ongoing.
