Requirement:

• Current NCEA Member
• Current NCEA Certified
• Minimum 3 years of skin care experience practicing, teaching or consulting within the industry.

The development of the NCEA Examination program included the opinions and contributions of a geographically diverse group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The SMEs come from diverse backgrounds of the industry. Some of the SMEs work as an esthetician in the salon and spa environment, a dermatology practice, a plastic surgery practice and as skin care educators and teachers. They come from all geographic areas of the United States and in order to control costs, they were able to work effectively through internet access to provide a valid examination for the industry and the NCEA Certification Program.
